Culp, O'Neil Appointed Emerald Vice Presidents

Emerald Performance Materials has named Robert L. Culp Jr. its new vice president of Procurement and Chris O’Neil vice president of Information Technology.

Culp will have responsibility for Emerald’s global purchasing and logistics operations across the company’s four business groups. He began his career with one of Emerald’s predecessor companies, BFGoodrich, as a chemist in the tire group in the 1980s. He subsequently moved into purchasing and business research at BFGoodrich, UniroyalGoodrich and Michelin, before pursuing positions at Smithers Scientific and OMNOVA Solutions, where he most recently served as the director of Strategic Sourcing.

O’Neil will be responsible for information technology (IT) services for all of Emerald’s four business groups. Prior to joining Emerald, he worked at FedEx serving in a variety of positions, including vice president and chief information officer of Information Technology at FedEx Custom Critical.
