Dow Announces Price Increase for P-Series and E-Series Glycol Ethers

The Dow Chemical Co. has announced an off-list price increase of US $0.04 per pound for the following P-Series and E-Series glycol ethers products in the U.S. and Canada, effective Oct. 1: Dowanol* Pm, Dowanol Pm Electronics Grade, Dowanol Pma, Dowanol Pma Electronics Grade, Dowanol Dpm, Dowanol Dpma, Dowanol Tpm, Dowanol Pnb, Dowanol Dpnb, Dowanol Pnp, Dowanol Dpnp, Butyl CellosolveƤ Solvent, Butyl Cellosolve Acetate, Butyl Carbitol Solvent, Butyl Carbitol Acetate, Carbitol Solvent, Methyl Carbitol (All Grades) and Propyl Cellosolve Solvent. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged. "We are implementing this pricing action to restore margins to acceptable levels and ensure that we can meet market needs in the long-term. The costs for energy and key raw materials remain at considerably higher levels versus previous years, and we will continue to see a volatile and unpredictable feedstock environment," says Manfred Holzleg, marketing manager for Dow Glycol Ethers, North America. "Dow is committed to providing customers with high-quality, high-performance glycol ether products."
