Jan Palmieri, vice president of Body Engineered Systems of Dow Automotive, has been named to the Automotive News list of 100 Leading Women in the North American Auto Industry. Palmieri joined Dow Automotive in 1995 as an application development engineer and has held a variety of positions in application development, marketing, and new business development. Prior to joining Dow Automotive, she was a design engineer for General Motors. "I'm honored to be among this outstanding group of professionals," Palmieri said. "I think the true value in this type of recognition is for us all to reach out to others in our field and those who are up-and-coming. We need to set good examples, take time to mentor and extend good opportunities to the next generation of leaders."
