The Dow Chemical Co. has announced the appointment of Jim Fitterling to the position of business vice president for Polyethylene. Fitterling will report to Mike Gambrell, executive vice president, Dow Basic Plastics and Chemicals Portfolio. Fitterling will continue in his current role as CEO of the OPTIMAL Group of Companies until year-end 2005, and will also temporarily retain his role as regional general manager, Southeast Asia/Australia, for Dow. He will transition to his new position as business vice president for Polyethylene over the next several months and relocate to Midland, MI.
