This issue of Adhesives & Sealants Industry magazine includes our special Dispensing and Curing Equipment Directory. This paid directory is an invaluable tool for applicators and end users of adhesives and sealants. The information is organized alphabetically by supplier in an easy-to-use format, with advertisers listed in red. Each company’s listing features its physical and Internet addresses, phone and fax numbers.
Our staff has made every effort to collect information from all of the companies in the field. We will work throughout the year to provide any changes or updates on our online version of the listing and in next year’s supplement. For information about being listed in next year’s guide, contact Peg Van Winkle at (614) 760-4222 or e-mail email@example.com.

To complement the directory, this month’s editorial includes a focus on equipment. In “UV/EB-Curable Systems” we feature a short introduction to light curing. The application of ultraviolet light (UV)- and electron beam (EB)-curable systems has expanded far beyond the older, more established graphic arts and wood coatings, and now includes laminating and other adhesives.
“The Two-Component Revolution” explains how a new mixing system simplifies two-component meter, mix and dispensing operations by reducing downtime for cleaning and maintenance.
Green is always an important topic in manufacturing. “Biodegradable Polymers in Adhesive Systems” examines biodegradable polymers based on renewable resources and their applications in resins, coatings and adhesives.
A new quarterly feature, “Business of Adhesives and Sealants,” examines an issue every manufacturer is currently facing: the Employee Free Choice Act. This act passed the full House of Representatives on March 1 and may become law this year. And look for more coverage of industry issues in the future - topics will include regulation and transportation of chemicals, including adhesives and sealants.
