Emerald Performance Materials has appointed Edward T. Gotch as president of its Polymer Additives division, reporting to the company’s Board of Directors. Gotch previously served as president of Emerald’s Kalama Chemical division, and was responsible for the successful growth and diversification of the Kalama portfolio. He will continue in his leadership role for the Kalama division in addition to his new responsibilities for Polymer Additives.

Gotch earned his B.S. in chemical engineering from the University of Toledo and his M.B.A. from Case Western Reserve University. He has served Emerald and its predecessor companies in corporate financial planning and analysis and general management roles, and held key positions at several plant operating units in the U.S. and in Asia.

Emerald Polymer Additives is a leading producer of antioxidants and accelerators for rubber, plastics and lubricant applications. Key products include TMQ (Resin D), BBTS and OBTS. The division also produces nitrile latex, a rubber-like synthetic water-based polymer.
