MoreGoldschmidt Chemical Corp., a wholly owned subsidiary of Degussa Corp., will celebrate the expansion of its Hopewell, Va., site by holding a dedication ceremony at the new North American Competence Center for the Goldschmidt Polyurethane Additives business line. This facility will house all Polyurethane Additives sales, marketing and technical functions for the NAFTA region. The 10,000-square-foot building, featuring a general laboratory and machine room that is four times larger than the previous Polyurethane facility, represents AN approximately $3.5 million investment in Goldschmidt's site in Hopewell. According to Manfred Recksik, president of Degussa AG's Oligomers & Silicones business unit, "The opening of this new facility ensures that Goldschmidt Chemical continues to provide the value-added service and product quality our customers have come to expect, while at the same time establishing our commitment to Hopewell and the surrounding communities."
