HERNON MANUFACTURING ACHIEVES ISO 9001:2000 CERTIFICATION

Hernon Manufacturing's Quality Management System has achieved certification to the internationally recognized ISO 9001:2000 quality standard. NSF International Strategic Registrations, Ltd. confirmed the registration on Dec. 7, 2003. Previously, since 1999, Hernon's Sanford, FL, facility was registered to the ISO 9002:1994 standard. The international standard was updated and restructured in Dec. 2000, significantly shifting from an "element-driven" to a "process-driven" approach to quality. The updated standard also increased emphasis on systems being orientated toward customer satisfaction and documented continual improvement. Hernon has established specific objectives for each internal process involved in the design, development and production of high-performance adhesives and sealants. Hernon is also going to great lengths to measure customer perception of all aspects of experience with the company.
