Huber Engineered Materials (HEM) has announced a price increase averaging from 5 to 7 percent across its portfolio of kaolin clays sold by the company's industrial business unit. This increase is effective December 15, 2003, or as contract terms permit. The increase covers all industrial grades of calcined, hydrous and specialty treated kaolin clays. "Partially offsetting recent manufacturing cost increases in the kaolin product line is imperative in order for HEM to consistently meet our customers' reliability, quality and service needs," said Mark Grambart, vice president and general manager, industrial business unit.
