ITW Performance Polymers recently acquired Krafft, S.A., of Andoain, Spain, a producer of adhesives, lubricants, sealants, and other OEM and MRO products for industry and the automotive aftermarket. Products include specialized industrial oils and greases, structural adhesives, mold releases, polyurethane foams, fertilizers, pesticides, antifreezes, brake fluids, motor oils, and automobile polishes and cleaners. According to Mike Underwood, general manager of the company's Consumer Division, ITW Performance Polymers will retain the Krafft name, a respected brand in Europe, and will continue to market all Krafft products. "We intend to use the strength of Krafft's distribution in Spain to market other ITW brands of adhesives and repair products, such as our Devcon and Plexus product lines," says Underwood. "The addition of Krafft strengthens our worldwide distribution network and helps us capitalize on international growth opportunities, especially in southern Europe. Our expanded product offering should also help existing and future customers to simplify their purchasing activities through vendor consolidation."
