MAPEI recently announced the opening of MAPEI de Mexico SA de CV, with headquarters in Santiago de Queretaro, Queretaro, Mexico. The regional distribution center in Queretaro will serve floor-covering installers and concrete restoration contractors from a more local base. The global company already has manufacturing facilities in Venezuela and Argentina.

“We see a strong, lucrative market in Mexico, with a great deal of potential for our products,” said Luigi Di Geso, president and CEO of MAPEI Americas. “We feel that this distribution center will show our commitment to the market and provide a solid stepping stone to our company’s future in Latin America.”

Robert Ash, Jr., a sales representative who has sold MAPEI products into the Latin American market for the past 13 years, will serve as the Sales director for Mexico. MAPEI will stock all of the company’s product lines in Queretaro, with a strong emphasis on the Concrete Restoration Systems products and the Underground Tunneling Technology line. In addition, MAPEI will concentrate on sales of its Tile & Stone Installation Systems and Floor Covering Installation Systems for residential and commercial construction projects.
