Permabond F246 is a two-part, no-mix, surface-activated structural acrylic adhesive for road sign assembly. It is designed to replace rivets when joining stiffeners to signs, improving the aesthetic appearance of the mounted sign and maintaining flexibility and durability to withstand harsh outdoor climates. F246 is translucent in color with a viscosity of 20,000 cP and a shear strength of 4,000 psi. The open time is 3 minutes, and has a fixture time of 30 to 60 seconds (when used with Initiator #5), and 5 minutes (when used with Initiator #1). The shelf life is nine months when stored at or below 27 degrees C (80 degrees F).
