To recognize its 75th anniversary, PMMI - the leading packaging trade association serving the global packaging supply chain - has issued a commemorative logo and plans celebrations during its 2008 Executive Leadership Conference and Annual Meeting.

The Institute’s founding members formally ratified its Articles of Incorporation in August 1933 to create a mechanism for working together to counter common concerns and issues.

“PMMI was founded on the simple concept that companies and industry leaders who supply packaging machinery solutions ought to cooperate and respond to industry issues,” said Charles D. Yuska, president and CEO of PMMI.

“It’s a tribute to a tradition of strong volunteer stewardship that PMMI continues to supply dynamic programs and services - and that they now support the entire packaging supply chain, including machinery, materials, and components suppliers,” Yuska added.

PMMI is planning a 75th anniversary celebration for members at the 2008 Executive Leadership Conference (April 6–10, Indian Wells, CA) and an industry-wide celebration during the 2008 Annual Meeting (Sept. 22–24, Washington, DC). Details of both special events will be announced at a later date.
