Revising the LEED Rating System

REACH is part of the European Union's effort to make it almost impossible to sell to that market, yet sell to us here in the U.S..Propping up their socialist system is all that matters to them: Ever try to read the REACH document? 
 
The EU has led this initiative, and global companies with a US presence will be in better position to comply with global requirements if everyone is working towards the same standard. 
 

The U.S. Green Building Council’s (USGBC) latest effort to revise its LEED 2012 building rating system indicates that a new material resource credit that would measure U.S. products sold in North America by their ability to meet the qualifications set up by the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) under their REACH program would be established. Do you believe this is necessary?

Sounds too much like trying to justify the need for the agency and jobs instead of trying to improve the effect companies have on the environment.
