SARTOMER: Oligomers

June 11, 2014

A new line of BPA-free acrylic oligomers reportedly meets newer regulatory requirements while delivering equivalent performance in ink and coating applications in the high-end food packaging industry. The oligomers do not contain bisphenol-A (BPA) or major components listed on the 2014 Nestlé Guidance Note on Packaging Inks. In addition, the materials all reportedly have achieved broad international regulatory compliance.

Developed as a line of new-generation acrylic oligomers, CN2910, CN2911 and CN2912 use BPA-free technology to meet increasingly stringent food industry requirements while maintaining the performance of current bisphenol-A diglycidyl ether (BPADGE) diacrylate oligomers.

“Our customers count on us to work with them to develop the solutions they need to create the most innovative products in the most demanding applications,” said Nikola Juhasz, senior director, Global R&D. “The release of CN2910, CN2911 and CN2912 supports that mission by helping formulators meet the regulatory requirements of the food industry without sacrificing any performance.”
