Mark your calendar to attend
the Pressure Sensitive Tape Council's 2008 Week of Learning May 5-9 in Baltimore. The event will
include a combination of educational events, networking opportunities and an exposition.
In addition to the TECH 31 session, the following educational sessions will be
offered:
- Tape University Basics. This course is
for those new to the PSA tape industry or those who are working in sales,
marketing, quality control or customer service throughout the tape channel -
whether they be a manufacturer, raw material supplier, distributor, converter,
or an end user. Focus is to provide information on the essentials of PSA tapes
and establish a common language.
- Tape University 102: Advanced Technology for
Pressure-Sensitive Adhesive Tapes. This one-and-a-half-day
course is for technical staff members - scientists, R&D, engineers -
requiring more in-depth information on the chemistry, physics, process and
engineering of manufacturing tape. Lecture topics range from adhesion theories
to formulation.
- Release Coatings and Chemistries Workshop.
This workshop offers tips and techniques to help technical professionals
achieve consistent and reliable release and unwind of tapes and adhesives under
varying temperatures and climates. The session is also of interest to those in
sales, marketing and purchasing who must specify expectations.
