BASF: Coating

February 22, 2011

This company’s Wall Systems business recently announced that the International Code Council (ICC) Evaluation Services has recognized Enershield™-HP as a water-resistive barrier, as well as flexible flashing for commercial and residential construction. The report confirms compliance with applicable sections of the 2006 International Building Code and the 2006 International Residential Code.

Enershield-HP is a factory-mixed, one-component, fluid-applied, vapor-permeable, air- and-water-resistive barrier. The coating may be applied by spray, roller, brush, or trowel directly to approved wall substrates under code-complying wall claddings. In addition, the coating can be combined with sheathing fabric to be used as flexible flashing.
