HI and DOE Enter Agreement to Promote Energy Efficiency
“Many companies do not invest in energy efficiency for a variety of reasons. This may be because these projects compete for capital with other corporate and plant priorities, the projects are undervalued, or the energy-saving opportunities are not recognized,” explained Eric Lightner, manager of BestPractices Program. “Our primary goal is to raise industry’s awareness of how new technology and best management practices can increase energy efficiency and productivity while bolstering profits and shareholder value. In this way, we hope to raise the bar for the pumping industry, making energy efficiency not just a widely accepted business strategy, but the industry norm.”
