Dow Corning Corp., Midland, MI, has named Jean Francois Bailly as its global industry director for the company’s Pressure Sensitive and Paper businesses. Based in Seneffe, Belgium, Bailly is a veteran of the industry, having served previously as Dow Corning’s European industry director for Paper.

The Thermoset Resin Formulators Association (TRFA), Glen Ellyn, IL, has announced new officers for 2007. They are: president – John Cech, CVC Specialty Chemicals; vice president – Vinay Mishra, ITW Devcon; secretary/treasurer – Bhavin Patel, Innovative Resin Systems; and immediate past president – Jim Steever, Rebus Inc.

Cecil Connor has been named general manager of Rubex, Inc., Grove City, OH, a leader in the manufacture of extruded preformed butyl tapes and solvent-free hot-applied pumpable butyl. Connor brings with him over 20 years of experience with such companies as BP Chemicals, Sika Corp. and General Electric.

Herbert Giffins has been appointed to the position of senior architectural consultant by the CHEMARK Consulting Group Inc., Southern Pines, NC. Giffins brings to his new position 45 years of experience in the architectural coatings business, including seven years spent as president and CEO of the Kelly Moore Paint Company.

InteliCoat Technologies, South Hadley, MA, has announced the appointment of Joseph A. Lupone as its president and CEO. Lupone has more than 20 year of experience in general management, with an extensive background in senior executive sales and marketing roles. Most recently, Lupone served as president of Reflexite Display Optics, a division of Reflexite Co., a manufacturer of optical films to the LCD flat panel display industry.
