Chemsultants International, Mentor, OH, has announced the opening of a new 10-acre campus with state-of-the-art testing, product development, and research and training facilities to serve its growing customer base in the global adhesives and sealants industries. The opening of the new 35,000-sq.-ft. building coincides with the company's 20th anniversary. Chemsultants founder and president Richard P. Muny launched his career in adhesives and sealants consulting in a leased 550-sq. ft. office in Painesville, OH. During those early years, he consulted with companies to set up quality-assurance testing programs. CHRISTOPH HENKEL AWARDED HONORARY DOCTORATE
Christoph Henkel, vice chairman of the Shareholders' Committee of Henkel KgaA, has been awarded an honorary doctorate from the Heinrich Heine University of Dusseldorf in recognition of both his professional achievements and his services to the university's Economics faculty. Henkel's achievements in science and practice are many and varied. Since 1994, he has established a number of successful companies. The many initiatives he has promoted include the foundation of various companies and partnerships in the hotel sector, the establishment of a property fund, and the establishment and entrepreneurial management of a portfolio of direct shareholdings in the biomedical and high-tech segments.

DOW NAMES MANAGER FOR COATED PAPERBOARD
R. Todd Crook has been named senior marketing manager for coated paperboard at Dow Latex, Midland, MI. Crook will be responsible for product development, market strategy and pricing for the line of latexes the company markets for production of coated paperboard. In making the announcement, Cindy Elliott, commercial director for Dow Latex, noted the overall experience that Crook brings to his new assignment. "Todd is a strong addition to our marketing team for Dow Latex in North America," she said. "He has over 15 years of experience in a variety of latex-related positions, and understands both the dynamics of the market as well as the technology platforms we offer our customers. In his new role, he will focus specifically on the needs and opportunities to support our customers who specialize in coated paperboard."
SEKISUI VOLTEK LLC ACQUIRES YOUNGBO AMERICA
Sekisui Voltek LLC, a U.S. subsidiary of Sekisui Chemical Co. Ltd. of Tokyo, Japan, has acquired 100% of the stock of Youngbo America Inc., a California Corporation, from Youngbo Chemical Co. Ltd. of Korea. Sekisui Japan is already a 51% shareholder of Youngbo Korea. Youngbo America's California facility will serve as a West Coast sales office and distribution center. In addition to this acquisition, Sekisui Voltek also announced that it has significantly expanded capacity of both XLPE and XLPP Volara foam production to meet predicted strong growth in their three major business sectors of Automotive, Industrial and Tape & Healthcare.

SPECIALTY COATING SYSTEMS OPENS COSTA RICA FACILITY
Specialty Coating Systems Inc. (SCS), Indianapolis, has opened its newest Parylene coating facility in Heredia, Costa Rica.
