Dave Bartish has joined the Ampac Flexibles division of Ampac Packaging LLC, Cincinnati, OH, as director of sales. Bartish has almost 20 years of experience in flexible packaging, including sales, sales management and marketing.

Bishop

The Society of the Plastic Industry Inc. (SPI), Washington, DC, has promoted Walt Bishop to the position of vice president in charge of trade shows. In this position, Bishop's chief responsibility is to oversee the SPI Trade Show Department staff and a range of contractors in producing NPE 2006, which will take place in Chicago June 19-23 and will be the world's largest plastics show this year.

Ultra Additives LLC, Bloomfield, NJ, has appointed Andres Ginez to the position of Latin America sales manager. Ginez will be responsible for the sales of the company's specialty additives to the worldwide industrial fluid market, and will be accountable for its coatings, inks, adhesives, and building products.

In this new role, Klos will be responsible for IPC's financial, information technology, customer service, human resource and meeting functions. A certified public accountant with more than 25 years of experience in financial and strategic planning, treasury management, and acquisition and divestiture, Klos most recently served as vice president and CFO for a manufacturer and distributor/retailer of imported home textiles.

Rogowski

Steve Mariconti has joined Daikin America Inc., Orangeburg, NY, as a Technical Service & Applications Development Manager for DAI-ELĀ® High Performance Fluoroelastomers. In this role, Mariconti will be responsible for providing technical and applications development to compounders, fabricators, and end users in the automotive, aerospace, and chemical industries.

Dow Automotive, Auburn Hills, MI, has named Bob Rogowski executive director of its Ford Business Unit. Rogowski is responsible for leading all customer initiatives at Ford Motor Co., and replaces Bill Blank, who recently accepted the role of vice president of Sales for North America.

Specialty Polymers Inc., Woodburn, OR, has named Nerissa Swaim as its new applications and formulations manager. Swaim brings to the company extensive experience in the coatings industry, having most recently served as a senior chemist at Valspar in Montebello, CA.

The Dow Chemical Co., Midland, MI, has announced the appointment of Flavio Terruzzi to the position of business vice president for Specialty Plastics and Elastomers. Terruzzi most recently served as president and CEO of Equipolymers BV, a joint venture between Dow and Petrochemical Industry Corp. (PIC), Kuwait. Carol Dudley has been named vice president of Business Development for Market Facing Units in the Performance Plastics and Chemicals portfolio. Dudley's last role with the company was vice president of Research & Development for Hydrocarbons & Energy, Chemicals & Intermediates and Core (Corporate R&D).
