RadTech has announced that its uv.eb WEST program will present an event targeting electronics, spotlighting fast-emerging applications in photovoltaics, flexible displays, printed electronics, consumer electronics, and more. Scheduled for March 8-9 in Santa Clara, CA, the event will include a keynote address from Raghu Das, Ph.D., CEO of IDTechEX, on "Printed Electronics 2011-2021 and the Opportunities for UV and EB.” According to Das, printed electronics is a substantially growing industry that will one day exceed the size of the semiconductor industry. Those in displays, lighting, sensors, memory, logic, photovoltaics, batteries, and other components are aggressively developing printed and flexible versions that can be lower cost, larger area, and come in new form factors that lead to new products and new markets.

Confirmed conference presenters also include representatives from Jabil-Green Point, Artificial Muscle, Novacentrix Corp., Arrowhead Research Corp., Fusion UV, Cytec, BASF, FUJIFILM Dimatix, JSR, Henkel, and Nanophase. Presentations will address: inkjet, supply chain management, LEDs, EAP actuators, metal inks on plastic films, micro-embossed UV or optical films, consumer electronics, photoinitiators, nanometric aluminum, process control and UV measurement. In addition, a short course on UV/EB chemistry will take place for those new to the technology or seeking a refresher.
