SARTOMER ADDS AKZO-NOBEL MONOMERS/OLIGOMERS TO ITS UV-CURE PRODUCT OFFERING

Sartomer Co. has added Akzo-Nobel's complete line of monomers and oligomers to its product offering, further expanding Sartomer's presence in functional additives for UV-cure applications. According to a Sept. 28 agreement, Sartomer's sister company, Cray Valley (Paris), has acquired Akzo-Nobel's entire Photocure Resins business, including manufacturing facilities in Eccles, Great Britain, and Brunswick, NJ. Under the terms of the agreement, Cray Valley will market Akzo-Nobel products to Europe, the Middle East and Africa, while Sartomer will market products to Asia and the Americas. Sartomer's existing photocure product line includes a variety of monomers, oligomers, photoinitiators and specialty resins for UV-cure coatings, inks, adhesives and other high-performance products.
