Scapa Medical now offers Medifix 7010/832, a heat-activated, medical-grade pressure-sensitive adhesive tape used for attaching medical devices to skin, and as a welding adhesive for ostomy flanges. 7010/832 consists of a white polyester nonwoven material impregnated with a heat-activated adhesive, then single-coated with a porous medical-grade acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive. The product is supplied on a white glassine release liner, and its porous adhesive increases moisture vapor permeability for direct skin applications. The heat-activated adhesive is designed to weld to the composite film laminates widely used in the ostomy industry.
