Scapa North America has introduced Scapa 554, a polyimide film formulated for high temperature masking and electrical insulation of high temperature coils, motors, and transformers meeting class H requirements. Single-coated with a high performance silicone pressure sensitive adhesive, the film conforms to irregular surfaces and removes cleanly without adhesive residue after exposure to heat and chemicals. With an operating temperature range of up to 600 degrees F, it is flame retardant and resistant to chemical attack. The film's high strength backing provides strong puncture, tear and abrasion resistance.
