SMTA Announces Second Annual Medical Electronics Symposium

The 2nd Annual SMTA Medical Electronics Symposium will be held April 25-27, 2005 at the Minneapolis Airport Marriott in Bloomington, MN. The resilient medical electronics field is a high-tech manufacturing industry that is still based primarily in the U.S. Technology improvements are the result of close working relationships between industrial segments, universities and state, federal, and private institutions, making medical electronics a vibrant interactive technical community. This conference will focus on medical electronic devices, components, packaging and assembly for medical applications. Two half-day courses will also be offered, with one covering Electronics Assembly and the other covering the Impact of Lead-Free Materials and Corrective and Preventative Actions. Finally, a tabletop exhibit featuring 26 industry suppliers will serve as an added bonus for conference attendees.
