SMTA Celebrates 25th Anniversary (7/20/09)

This year marks the 25th Anniversary of the founding of the Surface Mount Technology Association (SMTA). To celebrate, the SMTA is holding a very special celebration to recognize the amazing support received from the industry over the years. SMTA is commemorating the occasion by hosting a dinner and celebration at its annual event, SMTA International.

The SMTA International 25th Anniversary Dinner and Celebration will take place on Monday, Oct. 5 in San Diego, CA.  Mike Buseman of Plexus (and past SMTA VP Membership) will introduce a number of luminaries and events that have contributed to 25 years of success for the SMTA. Presentations by Ken Gilleo, Ph.D., ET-Trends and Ron Lasky, Ph.D., Dartmouth College/Indium Corp. will provide a "walk down memory lane," as well as a look to the future. A photo slideshow will be shown at the dinner for a visual reflection of the organization through the years.
