Moretesa tape inc. has released the tesa 53008, intended for use in splicing applications within the commercial print industry. It is a double-sided adhesive transfer tape designed for commercial printers that utilize zero-speed splicing technology (a distinctive system of splicing paper rolls together during the continuous print process). The tape is red in color, making it visible for identifying splice areas. Because the tape has no backing, it is extremely thin, measuring in at only 2 mils thick. It also has a highly siliconized liner that removes easily from even the most fragile grades of paper without tearing.
