DELO produces industrial adhesives for automotive, consumer, and electronics applications, as well as dispensing and curing equipment. The company’s total sales for its 2022 fiscal year (ended March 31, 2022) reached €182 million (approximately $194.8 million), a 9% increase over 2020.
Among myriad product offerings, DuPont produces adhesives and related solutions for applications in electric and hybrid vehicles and the automotive aftermarket, along with composite, glass, and rubber-to-substrate bonding. A company contact reports that the company’s 2021 net sales for adhesives, sealants, and related products was $780 million (up from $750 million in 2020).
General Sealants manufactures sealants (e.g., silicone, polysulfide, polyolefin, polyacrylic, ethylene propylene), butyl tapes, mastics, and vacuum bag sealant tapes for industries such as transportation, construction, electrical, and industrial manufacturing. Patrick Boyle, president and chief operating officer, expects the company’s R&D spending to increase in 2022. It “remained relatively constant” in 2021.
H.B. Fuller’s net revenue grew by 17.5% to reach almost $3.3 billion in 2021. The company’s three business units—Hygiene, Health and Consumable Adhesives (HHC); Engineering Adhesives (EA); and Construction Adhesives (CA)—all saw double-digit increases in net revenue for the year.
“Huntsman is a leading supplier of adhesives components and adhesives systems consisting of epoxy, polyurethane and acrylic innovative chemistries,” says Simon Thering, business development leader Adhesives. He reports that the company’s revenue for adhesives, sealants, and related products in 2021 was approximately $940 million. This represents an 11.9% increase over 2020’s $840 million.
ITW produces adhesives and sealants and related products in two of its seven business segments. (The company declined to provide specific adhesives/sealants-related sales and other details.) Total revenue increased by 15% in 2021, to nearly $14.5 billion.
Jowat SE produces industrial adhesives for a range of applications, including woodworking and furniture manufacturing, paper and packaging, graphic arts, textiles, automotive, and electrical/electronics. The company was founded in 1919 and remains a family-owned business. Its manufacturing facilities are located in: Detmold and Elsteraue, Germany; High Point, N.C., Buchrain, Switzerland; and Bandar Baru Enstek, Malaysia.
Total net sales for LINTEC grew by 8.9% in its 2022 fiscal year (ended March 31, 2022). The company employs approximately 5,100 people worldwide; it has three Japan-based consolidated subsidiaries, as well as 39 additional consolidated subsidiaries around the world.
Mactac’s pressure-sensitive adhesives and related products (e.g., films, tapes, labels) are used in a range of applications, including transportation, building and construction, graphics, medical, and more. In early 2022, the company acquired Spinnaker Coating, a producer of pressure-sensitive roll label and sheet base materials, as well as CSI-SoCal, a custom slitting and distribution center for roll label printers.
Consolidated revenue for Nan Pao grew 15.6% in 2021, reaching nearly NT$18 billion (approximately $607.4 million). Adhesives accounted for 72% of that revenue, or about NT$12.9 billion (~ $437.3 million).
