TRICORBRAUN ACQUIRES SMITH CONTAINER CORP.

TricorBraun has announced the acquisition of Smith Container, an Atlanta-based distributor with $55 million in revenue. The transaction expands and diversifies TricorBraun's business base in Atlanta; Charlotte, NC; Orlando; Greenville, SC; Tampa; Memphis; Dallas; and Tulsa. "We are very pleased to welcome Smith Container to the TricorBraun family," said Keith J. Strope, president and CEO of TricorBraun. "Our two companies share a long, rich history in the packaging business. We are excited about the enhanced resources the combined companies will offer to our customers." Effective immediately, Smith Container becomes a part of TricorBraun, with immediate access to all available options, including: 27 North American branch locations; TricorBraun Design and Development Group; TricorBraun Engineering; TricorBraun International; and more.
