UV III SYSTEMS INC.: Portable UV Curing System

A fully portable, hand-held UV curing system designed for use on three-dimensional parts that are coated with UV-curable coatings or adhesives is available from UV III Systems Inc. of Bellingham, MA.

The MULTICURETM UV Curing System features a hand-held quartz lamp that produces a narrow band 365 nm output (other spectrums available) for curing three-dimensional surfaces coated with UV-curable coatings or adhesives. The operator simply scans the defocused lamp 3” to 8” above the part that requires curing for 10 to 30 seconds to achieve a quality finish.

Ideal for use with UV-formulated polyesters, epoxies and composites (including Lawrence McFadden, Chemcraft, Akzo, and PPG), the MULTICURE UV Curing System’s lamp head is made of stainless steel and aluminum, and its power supply uses 110/120V 60 Hz. Applications include production, R&D, and surface defect repairs found in composites.
