Van Waters & Rogers and Ellis & Everard to Use Vopak Name

The brands have been consolidated under the Vopak name to reflect the expanding global presence of their Rotterdam-based parent, Royal Vopak.

KIRKLAND, Wash. -- The Van Waters & Rogers (VW&R) and Ellis & Everard (E&E) brands have been consolidated under the Vopak name to reflect the expanding global presence of their Rotterdam-based parent, Royal Vopak.

The planned name change to Vopak USA Inc. and Vopak Canada Ltd., along with a new geographic realignment and leadership appointments, were announced as initial steps in integrating the two companies.

"With the increasing globalization of our business and the rapid growth of e-commerce, we have much to gain by operating under a single global brand," said Darwin H. Simpson, president.

The integration of VW&R, E&E and Vopak's other chemical-distribution businesses creates one of the world's major chemical-distribution companies and further solidifies Vopak's leadership position in North America. In addition, the merger moves Vopak into leadership positions in both the United Kingdom and Ireland.
