WACKER CHEMICAL NAMES WILSON V.P. OF PERFORMANCE MATERIALS

In an announcement made by Dirk Funke, Wacker Chemical Corp. president and CEO, Joseph Wilson Jr. was appointed to the position of vice president, Performance Materials, WACKER SILICONES. Wilson was formerly Business Team Leader at Kelmar Industries, Inc., a subsidiary of Wacker Chemical Corp., specializing in customized solutions for the paper, pulp and textile industries. In his new capacity, Wilson will be directly responsible for managing the division's sales and marketing operations, supply chain management, technical service and applications research for Performance Materials in North America. Wilson's focus, according to Funke, will be the development of new applications and the opening of new market segments for expanded growth of the company's products in textiles, fibers, pulp and paper, personal and health care, tire, construction, and key markets in numerous process industries. Wilson will have responsibilities in Duncan, SC, and Adrian, MI.
