Consisting of numerous reviews of the field, the first volume in this series, "Macromolecules Containing Metal and Metal-Like Elements Volume 1: A Half Century of Metal and Metalloid-Containing Polymers" offers readers a solid background in the subject through an overview of the discovery and development of these substances. The first of several thematic volumes that will be published in this series, "Macromolecules Containing Metal and Metal-Like Elements Volume 2: Organoiron-Containing Polymers" presents information necessary to understand and utilize organoiron-containing polymers. More applications-oriented than the first volume, this work highlights the development of organoiron polymers since the early 1950s and describes many of the different classes of these macromolecules and current trends in the field. This volume focuses on two classes of organoiron polymers: ferrocene-based macromolecules and polymers containing cationic arene cyclopentadienyliron complexes.
