It’s being reported that the Chrysler Fiat 500 will be built in Mexico. The Wall Street Journal says that they might build an engine for the 500 at a plant in Trenton, MI, and possibly could manufacture another compact car similar to the 500 in the United States.

As a Michigander – and a tax payer – I take issue with this. More and more people are losing their jobs here, and Chrysler is going to manufacture the Fiat 500 in Mexico to sell in the United States? And we gave them federal money to do this?

I want my money back.
