We asked our E-News readers their thoughts on the full body scanners being installed in various U.S. airports and how it will affect their travel plans.

Will the full body scanners being installed in various U.S. airports change the way you travel?

No, it’s just part of travel: 62%

Yes, I will find an alternate mode of transportation if possible: 33%

Unsure: 5%

Comments:

“I hope it speeds up the process.”

“If we want the security we have to put up with the inconvenience.”

“Anyone who is seriously offended by or who is complaining about the body scanners and/or patdown methods shouldn't be flying! Grow up! There are terrorists out there trying to kill us! I say scan, pat down, strip search, or do whatever you need to do to keep us safe! Enough of the whining about TSA; they are doing their job.”

“The Fourth Amendment says that ‘we are to be secure in our persons.’ How does one reconcile this transgression with that?”

“Unconstitutional.”

“Freedom comes with a price and all our lives are priceless. Let these people that don't want them, roam a crowded market place in Iran or Afghanistan until a bomb explodes.”

“How come Israel, the most hated country on the planet, does not use body scanners and had only been hijacked once in history?”
