iGM RESINS: Acrylate Resin

A breakthrough in UV curing technology Photomer^® SC91 from iGM Resins represents a new chemistry that fundamentally changes how photoinitiation is delivered in UV and LED systems. A self-curable acrylate resin with built-in photoinitiator functionality, Photomer SC91 enables UV Hg or UV LED curing with no or only minimal addition of external photoinitiators. This is achieved by integrating the photoinitiating groups directly into the resin backbone.

This Type II photoactive concept combines acrylate and photoinitiator technologies in a single polymeric material. As a result, the photoinitiator part remains chemically bound within the structure.
