NORWALK, Conn. — The 1999 Assembly Technology Expo takes place September 20-23. Show dates are September 21-23. The conference program features new technology tracks, workshops, corresponding plant tours, and keynote speakers from NASA and Eaton Corp. More than 700 of the world’s leading manufacturers will offer the latest products, services and technologies for such industries as automotive, electronics, industrial equipment, computers, household appliances, motors, generators, telecommunications and aeronautics/aerospace.
The program features more than 40 sessions in the following technology tracks: Adhesives and Dispensing, Improving Workflow in Assembly (new), Parts Feeding and Orienting (new), Robotics and Flexible Automation, Joining Methods, Electronics Assembly, Design for Manufacturing (new), Wire Processing, Motion Control, Vision Systems, and Fastening Tactics. There are also seven all-day workshops with training in high-speed automated assembly, high-volume complex product assembly, flexible high-variation assembly, BGA rework and manufacturing, critical process controls in SMT manufacturing, and workshops by Komax Corp. and Panduit.
