Abril Named SOCMA President; Sloan Leads Hygiene Association
Jennifer L. Abril, former president of the International Fragrance Association (IFRA), has been named president and CEO of the association.
The Society of Chemical Manufacturers and Affiliates (SOCMA) board of governors recently announced that Jennifer L. Abril, former president of the International Fragrance Association (IFRA), has been named president and CEO of the association. The previous CEO, Lawrence D. Sloan, left the association earlier this month to become CEO of the American Industrial Hygiene Association.
Abril has a bachelor’s degree in international service from The American University and a master’s degree in business management from the University of Maryland. Prior to her time with IFRA, she worked for two years at SOCMA and seven years at the American Chemistry Council. She will begin her new role with SOCMA on October 24.
