This company recently announced it will launch new copolyester heat seal coating formulations for food packaging applications at this year’s PACK EXPO, taking place October 14-17 in Chicago. Vitel® 1922AF is a 100%-solids formulation designed for PET lid stock. 1922AF was reportedly formulated to be used in refrigerable applications to reduce fogging from moisture-containing food products. This heat seal coating is designed to help streamline manufacturing processes. By incorporating anti-fog additives into the formulation, the coating helps converters eliminate the need for a second processing pass to add an anti-fog coating.
