Targeted for completion in 2023, the center will allow Henkel experts and scientists to develop new technologies that support all Henkel Adhesive Technologies business and service areas.
Henkel recently announced the construction of a new Adhesive Technologies Innovation Center in Shanghai, China. With an investment of more than €60 million (approximately $73.2 million), Henkel reports that the state-of-the-art facility will transform the current Zhangjiang site into an Innovation Center for China and Asia-Pacific. The new site will also strengthen the position of Henkel Adhesive Technologies to serve a variety of industries and develop leading adhesives, sealants, and functional coatings solutions for customers in the region.
"At Henkel, innovation has been an integral part of our company culture since its founding. We are fully committed to accelerating the development of impactful innovations to satisfy customers' and consumers' ever-changing demands," said Mark Dorn, president of Henkel Asia-Pacific and global head of the Craftsmen, Construction and Professional Division, Henkel Adhesive Technologies. "Serving as an important pillar of our global innovation network, this Innovation Center will reinforce our business foundation in China while leveraging regional innovation strengths, creating a driving force for future business growth in China and APAC."
