Cray Valley Receives ISCC PLUS Certification for Renewable Resins in France
Cray Valley announced the extension of its ISCC PLUS certification on the Carling Saint-Avold platform in France, enabling the production and commercialization of Certified Renewable Resins. The Carling Saint-Avold petrochemical platform is producing specialty resins as well as value-added polymers primarily intended for the automotive industry, and is also French energy and petroleum company TotalEnergies’ main polystyrene production site in Europe.
To accelerate the circular economy, Cray Valley is developing the use of feedstocks obtained through the processing of bio-based or advanced recycling materials. These certified sustainable entrants allow the production of polymers with identical properties to virgin polymers with a significantly reduced environmental impact. ISCC PLUS (International Sustainability & Carbon Certification), a global certification system, ensures traceability and secures the custody through mass balance approach along the value chain, from feedstock to the final product.
