May 24, 2004
A full line of colloid mills that adjust easily while running to let users fine-tune their product and offer convenient clean-in-place (CIP) operation has been introduced by Bematek Systems, Inc. of Beverly, MA. Bematek Z-Series Sanitary Colloid Mills are offered in a variety of models to produce ultra-fine particle size reduction and sub-micron dispersions and emulsions of varying viscosities. Featuring a milling head that requires no special assembly tools and can be CIPed, the rotor/stator gap adjustment is isolated from the process area and is fully adjustable during operation. Suitable for laboratory, pilot plant and production use, Bematek Z-Series Sanitary Colloid Mills feature 316 stainless steel construction with Viton O-rings, and comply with 3A, USDA and FDA standards. Models are available with flow rates from 12 to 4,500 GPH, and typical rotor/stator combinations are offered for products ranging from low-viscosity to abrasive slurries.
