SEEPEX: Stator Retensioning Device
November 8, 2004
The seepex stator retensioning device was designed to dramatically increase stator longevity, which is critical in abrasive applications. The device consists of an adjustable stainless steel sleeve with an internal rubber lining and a series of adjusting bolts. Depending upon stator size, adjustable bolts can be on one or both sides of the longitudinally slotted stator to allow for adjustment of the stator tube's circumference. The combination of the adjustable band with three longitudinal slots in the stator assures that compression can be maintained evenly along the entire circumference of the mating rotor and stator. Customers report that adjustable stators last four times longer than conventional stators.
