IPC-Association Connecting Electronics Industries* has announced that Manufacturers' Services Limited (MSL) will hold three on-site training sessions in 2004 as part of IPC's Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) Program Manager Certification Program. The Concord, MA-based electronics manufacturing and supply-chain services company indicated its support of the program in February 2003 and will now host the introductory segment in its Arden Hills, MN, plant on January 23-24, EMS Training II on April 23-24, and both the EMS Leadership Training and Certification Exam segments on June 24-26. Developed in 2001 under the direction of the IPC EMS Management Council, the EMS Program Manager Training and Certification Program is specifically tailored for EMS program managers, covering such topics as operations project management, finance, contract management and leadership skills. The extensive 70+ hour training program is designed for experienced managers, new managers and managers in training within the EMS industry. Upon completion of the requirements, candidates become IPC Certified EMS Program Managers and are able to use the "CEPM" designation after their names.
