The Adhesive and Sealant Council (ASC)'s Spring 2006 Convention and Exposition is scheduled to take place April 2-5 in Norfolk, VA. The convention, carrying the theme "Charting a New Course for the Industry," will feature a two-and-a-half day conference program, networking events, and the adhesive and sealant industry's largest exposition of raw materials, equipment, and service providers.

Educational sessions will have a business or technical focus. Presentation topics will include innovations in pressure-sensitive adhesives, materials resource planning, developments in supply-chain management, product stewardship, trends and unmet needs in the packaging market, and what's ahead in non-destructive evaluation. The program also features a special "hot topics" session addressing Transportation & Logistics and Disaster Management & Readiness.

On Monday, April 3, keynote speaker Joe Healey will present "How the Best & Brightest Embrace Change & Success." The presentation will provide real-world insights about change, success and how people perform at high levels. He will provide valuable lessons that will challenge the way attendees think, and give specific take-home ideas. His presentation will clarify what steps are necessary to make change and success happen.

Tuesday, April 4, will feature "Sales Training for Adhesives & Sealants," a course that will cover an overview of all adhesive and sealant technologies and improving sales techniques. Presentations on a proven sales methodology and "How to Mind Read Your Customers" will be included.

Special events include Sunday night's "Nauticus at Night" Welcome Reception, where attendees can experience the power of the sea with ASC at Nauticus, a spectacular maritime-themed science center. Mingle with fish, touch a shark and network with industry leaders against the backdrop of bustling Norfolk Harbor.
