Assembly East, the Northeast's leading trade event dedicated to final product assembly, is scheduled to take place May 5-6 at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston. From manual, semi-automatic and fully automatic systems to the latest hand tools, fasteners, adhesives, and robotic equipment, visitors will have the opportunity to evaluate everything they need to reduce cycle time, lower costs and increase productivity.

This year's conference program was developed by some of the industry's leading associations and organizations. The exhibition and conference will run concurrently.

The exhibition and conference will co-locate with NEPCON East/Electro, the Northeast's premier electronics manufacturing event. Together these three events will provide the region's manufacturers with a single source for leading-edge manufacturing solutions.

Special Events

Adhesives and Sealants Industry (ASI) magazine and The Adhesive and Sealant Council, Inc. will sponsor "Technological Advances in the Electronics Adhesives Industry," to be presented on Wednesday, May 5. Industry experts will discuss how technological advancements in electronics adhesives involve aspects of both formulation and application to meet demanding end-use criteria, and will present an overview of adhesives used in surface-mount assembly applications.

Assembly magazine will present a panel discussion, "The Productivity Challenge: Can U.S. Manufacturers Sustain Improvements?", on Wednesday, May 5. Assembly Senior Editor John Sprovieri will chair a panel of consultants, academics and key personnel from leading regional manufacturers discussing the remarkable gains in productivity made by U.S. manufacturers during the past decade. The goal of the discussion is to provide practical information to help engineers increase productivity at their assembly plants.
