“The Science Behind a Sustainable Future" is the company’s 2010 report regarding the collaborative initiatives of the combined Momentive enterprise in the areas of environmental protection, economic development, and social responsibility for the benefit of current and future generations.

The combined businesses of Momentive Performance Materials Inc. and Momentive Specialty Chemicals Inc. announced the publication of “The Science Behind a Sustainable Future,” the company’s 2010 report regarding the collaborative initiatives of the combined Momentive enterprise in the areas of environmental protection, economic development, and social responsibility for the benefit of current and future generations.

“Sustainability has been a focus in the heritage of our companies for many years, as we have strived to operate safely and efficiently, minimize environmental impact, introduce innovation using sustainable resources, reduce waste, and be a good employer and a good neighbor,” said Craig O. Morrison, chairman and CEO. “We are taking a lead role in creating the science behind sustainable solutions. When you work with us, you are collaborating with a company that is focused on delivering value-and on doing it in a safe, ethical and environmentally responsible manner.”

The 2010 sustainability report discusses how Momentive Performance Materials and Momentive Specialty Chemicals are using their combined businesses to adopt best practices from each other and the rest of the industry, and rolling them out across Momentive’s new global enterprise.
