Univar Inc. recently announced that it has completed its acquisition of Basic Chemical Solutions LLC (BCS), a global distributor and trader of commodity chemicals. Concurrent with the close of the acquisition, Mark Byrne, president and CEO of BCS, was appointed executive vice president and COO of Univar.
