“Pete’s leadership and dedication, particularly in the TAPPI Nonwoven Division, has been crucial to the success of the division,” said Larry N. Montague, president and CEO of TAPPI. “He has been instrumental in numerous committees and conferences, and continues to contribute to the division and to TAPPI.”
A graduate of the New York State College of Forestry & Environmental Science at Syracuse University with a bachelor’s degree, Wallace worked in the wood products industry before moving into resins. He held positions at Reichold Chemical, BTL Chemical and Borden Chemical, which later became Hexion Specialty Chemical.
